Hello there! Today is Christmas Eve and the year is 2010. Jenny wanted to start a tradition with this blog. She wants us to update it around Christmas time each year. I think it's a great idea. She wants us to have more 'modern' traditions that our generation can take advantage of. We've been talking a lot about traditions lately and what we'd want to continue doing that our parents have, and what we want to start doing.
This Christmas has been different. I've been happy because we decided to keep it lower than usual. Last year to spent WAY too much on Christmas because we had the money. I think we could've saved that money. Anyway, I think it will be a good Christmas regardless. We've tried to focus on giving and charity more this Christmas rather than buying big gifts and I think it's helped us feel more of the Christmas "giving" spirit.
I get 2 days off work (yesterday and today) since Christmas is on Saturday. We went to a Malone Christmas party last Sunday and now we get to go to a Furr one tonight. My mom is still not doing that well so we probably won't visit long tomorrow at the MaloFurr residence. I feel like I'm just getting in the way with them so I just leave them alone. It's sad I know, but that's how I feel lately. Then we will be going to the LaRocco's probably to sleep over Christmas night and hang with Jenny's family. Anyway, Christmas should be good. We're happy in our little, humble home. We don't have a ton, but we make do with what we do have and we're thankful for all we have.
Oh yeah, we got a ton of snow the other day. Some of it melted because it's rained a lot since but it's been fun. Anyway, I want to say Merry Christmas to all and a happy new year! I love my family!

Christmas Eve 2010
Hello. Today is Christmas Eve. The boys are playing Zelda with Justin downstairs and I just put Francy down for her nap.
We procastinated our Christmas present wrapping.. again. We shall do it tonight, just like we have done for the past six years.
We (I) built a snow fort outside. I looks almost like an igloo but the top isn't closed off. Too bad it's not due to snow for another few days. It snowed 18 inches on tuesday. It was awesome. Justin's car got stuck in the snow pulling out of our driveway, and that was after he and the neighbors had been shoveling for over 30 minutes. But we all stayed safe and it was a fun snow day. They even cancelled school. Pretty rare for Utah.
Tonight, as always we are going over to Grandma and Grandpa Furr's house for a Christmas Party. It will be fun to see that family. We used to see them every day.
I started this blog to start a family tradition. This will be our first official family Christmas tradition to blog every Christmas eve about our lives and our world for the past year.
Until next time,
Mrs. Furr
